Decent food, craft beer, nice atmosphere with nice people. Parking is spread out around town. Had a good experience here.
Had the donut burger. It was by far the best burger ever created. I mean their whole menu is genius, hand made fries and chips. Who does that? They do! Plus the atmosphere is very modern and welcoming for all ages. Love love love
Great food and service! My only negative is that it's a small place and they let people reserve tables which ends up with customers leaving due to a long wait. We sat for dinner and a table that seats six sat empty for 45 minutes because it was reserved while a family of 5 left due to no seating available. Seems a little silly to me to lose business. Atleast limit reserves to 20 minutes prior to showing up.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Sweet potatoes with the sweet sauce were excellent, however that's where it goes down hill. The blackened shrimp tacos with guacamole and coleslaw tasted really strange, the flavors didn't go well together. The philly cheesesteak was very bland and had hot nacho cheese on it, tasted like they got it from the 7-11 across the street. Wouldn't it make more sense to use real cheese? They also don't have a choice of sides, after ordering sweet potato fries I didn't really want more regular fries on the side. Eat at your own risk.
Never had a bad experience at Grill 309. Fun, creative menu with lots of variety. Excellent appetizers - onion rings and fried pickles are second to none. It's my go-to restaurant in Culpeper.
