Went twice for breakfast in the same weekend. Good comfort food with an original drug store/diner atmosphere. Pro Tip: the wait for a table can take forever on the weekends - keep an eye on the bar - those seats are first come first serve and may save a long wait ***cash only, ATM on property***

This place is a surprising hidden gem in Culpeper. If you happen to be in the area stop by for some excellent eats and friendly staff, but bring a sweater!

Visited the Frost Cafe and enjoyed the food greatly. However, when it came time to pay, I was told CASH ONLY and to visit the ATM across the street. I normally tip 20 to 30%, the tab was $13.13, and the ATM charged me $3.50. There's the tip. If they had Square, Clover, or any other processing app, I would have only been charged a 3% fee which would have amounted to $0.39. When you don't accept credit card, you are saying that you don't care about offering your customers a convenience. When I complained about the ATM charge, I was told two things: they have been doing it that way for 12 years (Well, a lot has changed in 12 years) and to "go back where you came from" (Rude). I hate math, but this is a no-brainer. Offering your customers a 3% convenience fee is a lot better than a $3.50 ATM fee. Unless your tab is $100, then it's the same amount.

Me and my daughter go there almost every weekend. The food is delicious. The employees are so wonderful. Amber is always makes us feel at home.

friendly staff. But I really don't understand what the hype is about this place. Went here for dinner, Got the flounder filet with with mash potatoes and strawberry milkshake and a burger with fries. The filet tasted like it was just unfrozen and thrown in the deep fryer, very bland and oily, my fries were undercooked and had a fishy flavor (possibly used the same oil to make both). The milkshake had no strawberries and had way too much syrup, it was poisonously sweet. I think the burger was worse than McD's. Just really unfortunate. oh and it's cash only!
