Really bummed out and frustrated for my 87 year old neighbor. She was taken to lowes by caregiver to purchase new blinds on 10/14/17. Complete screw up from there it's now 11/27/17 and she still doesn't have what she bought. Installer showed up with parts of her old blind. I called store repeatedly and finally on 11/22/17 requested a refund to her credit card. Manager I spoke with said he was doing it right then. Now they can't find that and funds have not redeposited in her account. Very disappointed in service on this occasion.
Went to our local Lowe's for vinyl flooring recently; we used Lowe's for all our new house flooring 4 yrs ago & were very satisfied. Picked out a pattern & arranged for measuring after paying a $35 fee (just like Home Depot). The fee is credited back to you if you purchase flooring, otherwise not. Flooring guy, Tony, helped us as much as possible with his limited knowledge of dept -- Trish also pitched in with answers as needed. Measuring guy came out -- did same stuff the others had done, but we were able to talk with him a bit about exactly what we were expecting re install. Repeated to him that no skimming was wanted or needed -- floor surface excellent -- please do not add that to proposal. He said he'd pass it on -- not up to him or Lowe's -- they use Service Pro independent installers. Took over a week to receive proposal -- it included skimming at over $1000. & several other items which were not needed. After much back & forth with Tony at Lowe's & directly with Service Pro we were able to deduct the objectionable charges. Then we waited & waited for Service Pro to set up the install -- we'd been led to believe that since we chose an in-stock store vinyl, the install would be done very quickly. We ordered (& had to pay in full) on 7/7 & finally after much calling -- including a call to Lowe's assistant store manager, Craig "no-last-name" got it installed on 7/27. That's 20 days of full payment (over $3K) for an "in-stock" product we couldn't enjoy until now. The installers were good -- late showing up but knew what to do & how to do it. A few air bubbles showing but with some weight on them, they should flatten out. Seams are matched well. Overall, this experience not very good particularly on part of Service Pro -- very disorganized, didn't follow up or do what they promised -- had to have store manager intervene to get job done.
My visit was both positive and pleasant. Cashier were so pleasant till I had to pinch myself to see if I was still among the living. Aha moment I was so pleased to see a change because I thought at one time I was just going to have to hold a class entitled " I did not nor do I want to sleep with you and your woos I got my own".
It's very simple! You walk in everybody's smiling on a good mood. Scott the manager is one of the greatest managers I've ever met. Without naming a few, every vest wearing person I see in there is just eager to help. When they're not too busy they stop and have a conversation with you just like the old days. So Scott, great job with your staff. It's always a pleasure to give people a compliment they do deserve.
